After some time on them I think they might be the best So Cal dirt road tire I have tried from WTB.

The Pennsylvania countryside in Fall is supposed to be a beautiful thing, or so I have been told. I would know, but an unfortunate family health issue prevented me from attending the second unPAved of the Susquehanna River Valley event. Oh well, that’s how it goes sometimes. The good news is that the team there in Pennsylvania has decided to do it all again this coming Fall.

The RX8 does what a gravel bike does. It takes what was a road thing, for smooth paved surfaces, and it makes it into a rough road, dirt road thing. Gravel riding is not mountain biking, (despite the cross-over at some points), and the demands of road riding are a bit closer related to what we do on gravel “roads” than what people need to have for single track. Therefore; it is my opinion that a slightly modified road shoe is what will do the job best, and Shimano has knocked it out of the park with the RX8

Just off the Front Range of Colorado, this event in Gering, Nebraska focuses on the unsung gravel terrain of the Old West. The Robidoux Quick & Dirty will be held on June 20, 2020. The event features 25, 65, and 100 mile routes.

So, with many wheels in this price range what sets these Eroica GP’s apart? That wider internal width, decent weight, and the unique feature of the bead interface all are great features here, and do make your tires a bit more versatile.

Hello there gravel riding folks and anyone else out there that loves a bit of off-pavement adventure. The time of year when gift giving is on our minds is right around the corner. To those ends, here our some good ideas for gifts that might make the gravel traveler happy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Muc-Off products and the high functionality of the solutions for cleaning, protecting, and lubrication. There isn’t a clunker in the group here and the fact that Muc-Off does try to take consideration for the environment is impressive.

I could feel that I was a bit more “connected” to the bike, if that makes any sense. You cannot roll your foot laterally without pressing the pedal platform whereas on an SPD pedal, there is some free movement there. The cleat had some float, so this felt similar to the SPD’s I was so used to, but in terms of control laterally, the Cyclo 6 was a more secure feeling pedal.
