The Corsicana Gravel Grinder promises to be an awesome adventure across the scenic back roads of Navarro and Freestone counties. Whether you’re a seasoned road racer or someone who has never raced a bike, there’s something for everyone. We will be offering three distances: 29, 65 and 94 miles. Road surfaces are mostly smoothly grated gravel with some sections of narrow paved lanes. Riders will set off on Sunday Morning at 8:30 am from Charlie’s Country store in Purdon. Riders competing in the 94 mile event will complete one lap of the 29 mile and one lap of the 65 mile course. Stick around after the ride for some of the best brisket in Navarro County served up hot at the Charlie’s Country Store.
Riders will be responsible for their own repairs. Bring necessary tools! A neutral water table will be available. Riders will be using open public roads and must follow all state of Texas traffic laws. The courses will be marked and GPS files will be available for download. The top three in each distance will win prizes, cash prizes for the 94 mile race. Event will use chip timing to ensure accurate scoring. No USAC license is required to enter. Because of limited parking available at the site we are limiting entries to 50 per distance. Pre registration is recommended but on site registration will be available on the day of the event (if spaces remain) for an additional $10.
