King Ridge Dirt Supreme Hopper

King Ridge Dirt Supreme

Part of the Grasshopper Adventure Series

You’ve never ridden King Ridge like this. We are starting in Duncan’s Mills this year so we will start with a slow burn up Bohemian Hwy to Occidental. Then climb up Coleman Valley and descend Willow Creek on dirt. Hwy 1 to Fort Ross. Dirt descent to Salt Point. Dirt climb up Kruse. Climb Hauser Bridge. Back King Ridge to Caz and finish on East Austin Creek Rd near Duncan’s Mills. If you are looking for a supreme cross/dirt/gravel challenge this is it. Road, cross, Diverge….? Depends on what you have and what you can ride. Big tires and don’t flat! If you loved Old Caz this ride will blow your mind!

Option #2: Riders will head out River Rd to Hwy 1 and follow the same course as the big loop. Eliminates climb to Occidental and Willow Creek descent. You will still have the Salt Point dirt descent and Kruse dirt climb so a gravel bike with slick/semi slick tires or a road bike with 28c would be a good option.

Cone-Azalia Classic

**Cone-Azalia Class Gravel Road Race

The Cone-Azalia Classic gravel road race is held on rough and narrow farm roads – fitting for a Spring classic. A four-corner dirt road circuit on the farm roads of Monroe County!   About 90% of the course is gravel so be prepared for variable conditions.  This is not a race to bring your deep dish carbon wheels to – there are rocks, railroad crossings, and wind!

The Cone-Azalia Classic gravel road race has a new format this year. We now offer two distances – a 54 mile starting at 10:00AM and a 27 mile starting at 1:00PM.  Also new this year – USA Cycling licenses are optional.  If you have a USA Cycling license you get a call-up based on your license category.  If not, you’re free to race with the open waves/age groups.

Dirty Thirty Gravel Grinder

Join us on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 9 am and discover this gravel gem in the hills of Ionia County.  With road names like Bliss and Ivan (as in terrible), this gravel race offers something for every level of cyclist.

The Dirty Thirty gravel bike race course consists of almost 90% gravel roads, the largest percentage of gravel compared to other gravel grinder bike races in West Michigan.  The distance of the long course is, you guessed it, 30 miles.  The short course is 14 miles.

The Dirty Thirty events will start and finish in downtown Saranac, just a short jaunt from Grand Rapids, MI.  The first half of the course heads east into the open farm country, offering a combination of gently rolling hills and pancake flat gravel roads.   The second half of the course brings you west into a hillier and more forested section of the course.
