THE WATERMOO is an 88-mile gravel road race on mostly gravel, some tarmac and a road that is no longer a road with a river crossing in the farmlands of southeastern Michigan. To successfully complete THE WATERMOO requires one to work hard, patiently and methodically like the water oxen that once roamed the land of Waterloo, Michigan.

2019 Pisgah Monster Cross Challenge

September 7, 2019 @ 8:00 am 10:00 pm

The Pisgah Monster-Cross Challenge is the premiere all-road event in WNC.

Participants are challenged to complete a 72.6 mile – 8,736’ climbing route consisting of gravel and paved roads. The riders will be treated to some of the best gravel roads in the PISGAH and NANTAHALA national forests. This is a road racer’s dream endurance event where race tactics and strategy, along with overall fitness, proper gear selection, and luck are key to success.

There will be three Rest Areas along the way that will be stocked with water, food (PB&J, fruit, salty snacks, sweet snacks, bars), first aid, and neutral mechanical support. Riders may send drop bags to each Rest Area!
