The gravel racing has now officially burst on the spring scene. If you’re not checking the Riding Gravel Forum or the Gravel Grinder News Calendar, you’re certain to miss out!
This past weekend was Tom Dula’s Revenge in North Carolina put on by Pirate Race Productions.
Race Description: “Pirate Race Productions’ best course: 50 miles of fast, rolling and twisting country roads, with 15 miles of gravel, finishing with a stream crossing and a tricky forest road climb. First stop in the the Trois Roubaix race series, along with Love Valley Roubaix and Boone-Roubaix. Once again offering a non-competitive Gravel FUNdo category with the option to skip the steam crossing and final climb. Same route as 2013, but now starting and finishing at the Leatherwood Mountains Resort – stay in one of their cabins, and bring your family to enjoy a guided horseback ride while you are riding.”
