Featured Event: Rocktown Rambler – by Guitar Ted

Virginia has some of the most rugged terrain and beautiful areas East of the Mississippi River. Here is where you will find a gravel riding event called the Rocktown Rambler. It is our latest “Featured Event” where we bring a spotlight to events that we feel deserve to have notice from our readers.

The event will be run out of Bryce Resort near Bayse, Virginia not far off I-81which is about 2 hours West of Washington DC. Here is what the event director has to say about this event:

The Rocktown Rambler is a celebration of riding backcountry roads in the Shenandoah Valley. There will be gravel, some climbing, some descending, some singletrack, and a lot of fun! We welcome everyone that wants to have a good time – whether that is by racing, riding, or partying (or doing all three at once)! The Rambler is yours to enjoy!

The Rocktown rambler will take place on May 3rd, 2020 and start at 10:00am, so you don’t have to worry about getting up at “dark-thirty” to gobble some quick breakfast before the event. Price to get a spot on the roster is set at $70.00 for the 50 mile event. The 25 mile option will cost $65.00. These prices are in effect until January 1st, 2020 when the prices will jump to $80.00 and $75.00 respectively. Registration can be accessed at this link: https://www.bikereg.com/rocktown-rambler
