Titanium frame from Knolly Bikes
Knolly, a company known for its mountain bikes, has decided to offer a gravel/adventure bike using Titanium as a frame material.

Knolly isn’t a company you might have pegged to come up with an offering for the gravel rider, and certainly titanium may not have been a frame material you would have thought a company like this would have chosen. That isn’t the only surprising thing about this debut.

Attention to detail is high with the Knolly Cache.

The attention to detail is very impressive on this design. Knolly went as far as to the design of the cable ports, so that they could control how cables entered and exited the frame. Options for the rider to build the frame were not limited by the design either and you can have 1X, 2X, a dropper post, a suspension fork, fenders, and a rack on the bike as all of these things are accommodated in the Cache’s design.

Knolly Cache complete bike
Knolly will offer the bike from a bare frame to several options on complete bikes.

The geometry reflects Knolly’s mountain biking profile with a longer front-center and the advise to use a shorter stem than you might otherwise. This is reflected in the head angle with a slack- for gravel- 71° head angle for most of the seven sizes offered.

The Cache can handle 700c tires up to 45mm in width or 650B tires up to 2.1″ wide.

Knolly will offer the Cache as a frame only, frame and Knolly carbon fork, or in several versions of a complete bike ranging from one with the rigid fork, a Fox or MRP 40mm travel fork, and several drive train options as well. You can choose any of these options from Knolly’s webpage here. For more on the cache’s details, see the Knolly Cache page here.

The Time Osmos 15 shoes in black or white
Time shoes will come in a range of three models. This is the range topping Osmos 15

Time Reintroduces Shoes: Grannygear recently did a pedal comparo across several brands of pedals and one of those sets were from Time. Time had done shoes as well in the past, but just recently they have announced a new shoe range which may be of interest to some of you who prefer a more road type set up in shoes and pedals.

Time designed these shoes in Italy at their facility which has the latest technological equipment and materials focused on making the best cycling shoes possible in terms of fit, comfort, and performance. The result was the Osmos range of three, high end, high performance shoes.

I won’t get into too much detail here on the Osmos range as Grannygear is getting a pair of these shoes in for test and review soon. Look for that in an upcoming RidingGravel.com article.

  1. Knolly is going to have a hard time selling those Cache frames when the geometry page won’t open.
