Red Clay Ramble
Partnering with the Bicycling Club of Milledgeville, the City of Milledgeville, and Baldwin County Habitat for Humanity for a gravel grinder that explores the red clay back roads of middle Georgia. The course is on a mix of dirt, gravel and paved county roads. While this course is super-fast with only 2,300 feet of climb, the Mid-August Georgia heat will test even the best racers’ endurance and the gravel, sand and red clay roads will put their bike handling skills to the test as well.
Distance: 56 miles
Elevation: 2,300 feet
Please join Chain Buster Production, the Bicycling Club of Milledgeville and the Old Capital Racing Youth Cycling Team for the most epic MTB time trial in the state on August 23nd. Selma Erwin Nature Preserve trails are a hidden gem in Middle Georgia. These are some of the toughest, primitive trails south of the Pinhoti. Selma features roots, rocks, technical creek crossings and steep climbs that will challenge the best of riders. The Time Trial course is approximately 5 miles long and highlight the best that Selma has to offer. All proceeds from the event will go toward scholarship and equipment for the newly created Old Capital Racing Youth Cycling Team.
