An event every year that begins at 12:00am on day 22 of April, repeating until April 22, 2017
The Oregon Coast Gravel Epic presented by Oregon Coast Bank is an endurance event that showcases the raw beauty of ancient Siuslaw National Forests and some of its seriously stout hills. At 60 miles long with 6677 ft of climbing the Abomination route more than lives up to its name and will take 4-7 hrs for most. While the Son of Abomination is shorter at 37 miles, it is still physically demanding with 3,740 ft of climbing and 3-4 hrs of riding. This timed ride kicks off the Oregon Triple Crown and finishes with 3 miles on the Oregon Coast HWY back to a custom meal and your friends
Our events feature aid stations with Electrolyte Drink and a host of other goodies, sandwich makings, Nutella, and other delicious offerings. Bike support is also offered at some aid stations as well as lead and follow vehicles. After the finish line, you will be greeted with valet bike parking so that you can enjoy a delicious post-ride meal and complimentary Yachats Brewing beer (and non-alcoholic options) and Hilltop Bistro in our post-ride celebration/finish line area.
This event is presented by Oregon Coast Bank and is being produced in cooperation with the communities of Waldport and Yachats on the central Oregon Coast and with the support of Travel Oregon, and will highlight the natural beauty of rural Oregon coastal communities.
