Hey Gravel Grinders….Don’t Be Caught in the Swamp! You need to mark your calendars now for Saturday, May 13, 2016, for the 2nd Annual Hell of the Southwest Ultra Gravel Pursuit and Race. This years event will offer some exciting new changes for 2017, including new venues such as a new host city, new host hotel, all new routes, new start/finish area, all new menus, drinks, awesome and exclusive new amenities & swag, and an exciting new facility called the Market at the Mill, with the HOS as their grand opening event and hosting all of our pre- and post- event parties.

The Hell of the Southwest official website is currently under construction and being updated with all our new information. The Hell of the Southwest Gravel Pursuit Adventure Event is the annual signature gravel adventure ride and race for Bear Mountain Bike and Outdoor Stores held in the Winter Season at the historic Talbert Ranch in China Spring, Texas.

The Hell of the Southwest Gravel Pursuit Adventure offers participants options of how they want to participate, whether in an adventure race or an adventure ride from a selection of various route distances and utilizing their choice of the type of bikes they wish to ride. The obvious objective is for each participant to have fun and the challenge of cycling in the great outdoors on their adventure bike.

The Hell of the Southwest Gravel Pursuit Event consist of four routes having miles of beautiful gravel roads, some shaded by trees, some on sunlit country roads that meander through ranches, by rivers, creeks, and streams. Route distances include 102, 73, 50 and 26 mile courses in the event.
